Creating A Modern Classic

Gilroy Bowl's origins go back to 1968. A time when the City of Gilroy was only made up of around 12,000 people. After learning of its history and importance to the community, building owner Dave Leal immediately felt a delicate and strategic approach was required to update and overhaul both the building and the bowling alley. His vision of holding onto some old-world Gilroy charm while still providing a modern, high-end entertainment experience would become one of Downtown Gilroy’s largest construction projects to date. His eventual partnership with Gilroy resident and restaurateur John Holder would help elevate the food & beverage piece of the business to match the premium bowling experience. As the owner/operator of several restaurants including Westside Grill and Brew City Burgers, John’s service and food are well respected and desired. The two have set out to only roll strikes -- no gutter balls. Gilroy Bowl is back!
